Wrestling is a combat sport between two opponents where they use different grappling type techniques or grappling holds.

How to Play

The objective of the game is one opponent is trying to forces the other opponent to touch the ground with some part of his body to win. Another way an opponent can win is by holding their opponent in a position for a minimum length of time.

Equipment Requirements

  • Head/Ear guards are to protect the wrestler’s ears because wrestlers are constantly receiving  trauma to their ears. These also protect the forward to prevent concussions.
  • Kick pads for extra protection for wrestlers who do more contact to the knees.
  • Knee pads to protect against burns and bruises from the mat.

Kurt Angle

During his years in college Kurt became a two time NCAA Division I Wrestling Champion. After college he won a gold medal in freestyle wrestling in the 1995 World Wrestling Championships. He also won gold in the 1996 summer Olympics. He was named the greatest shoot wrestler ever and one of the top 15 wrestlers of all time in 2006. In 2016, he was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame.
