Roller hockey is another form of hockey played on a dry surface using wheel skaters. Players can use traditional roller skates, quad skates or inline skates.

• There are two types of ways to play roller hockey, there is quad hockey where a ball is used and inline hockey where they use a puck.
• For both types of games there are 5 players per team including the goalie. Players are trying to score a goal in each other’s net. The team who makes the most goals in their opponents net wins.

• For each team there are two forwards, which consists of center and winger. The defenders either play left or right position.
• The goalkeeper prevents the ball or puck from getting into their net.

• Helmet and facial protection because there can be full power shots and skating at high speeds, protection is needed for their face.
• Shoulder pads in order to protect the players when collisions happen or when there are full power shots.
• Elbow and shin pads to protect the arms and legs from injury and to reduce the chance of injuring other players.
• Gloves to improve the players overall comfortability while playing and to protect their hands.
• Hockey pants to protect players from lower shots that are more concentrated at the hips and tailbone.
• Hockey stick to help hit the puck 
• A puck for inline hockey and a ball for quad hockey.
• A net to where the teams score points.

Reinaldo is a renowned goalscorer with a strong middle distance shot. Is capable of playing multiple positions of both the midfielder and forward position. He was part of the Portugal national roller hockey team from 1997-2012. He was a member of the Rink hockey world Championship in 2003. He was the captain in the Rink Hockey European Championship in 2008 and 2009 and won 3rd place in 2010. In 2016 he won the 2016 CERH European Championship.
