Gymnastics is a sport that includes physical exercises. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the development of the arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest, and abdominal muscle groups.
All gymnasts compete in the Team competition, with the score calculated by adding the best 10 scores from the three competing athletes. Each athlete may perform a maximum of four routines and not more than one with each piece of activity.
While there's only one gymnast, they can perform under the six types of gymnastics: Artistic, Rhythmic, Trampoline, Power Tumbling, Acrobatics, and Aerobics.
The modern sport of gymnastics typically involves exercises on uneven bars, balance beam, floor, and vaulting horse (for women), and horizontal and parallel bars, rings, floor, and pommel horse (for men).
