Croquet is a sport that involves hitting wooden or plastic balls with a mallet through hoops embedded in a grass playing court.
Croquet can be played by two, four or six players The object of the game is to hit your ball(s) through the course of six hoops in the right sequence in each direction and finish by hitting them against the centre peg. The side which completes the course first with both balls wins.
There is one role to play as, which is the striker.
A croquet set should contain, as a minimum, two croquet mallets, six hoops, one centre peg and four balls in order to play.
Reg Bamford is a croquet world champion from London, England. Although resident in England, he plays croquet for his native South Africa. Since 2001, he has dominated world croquet. He is the only player to have won both versions of the World.
