Cricket is a bat and ball game where there is a pitch with a wicket at each end and two bails balanced on three stumps.

The objective of the game is to score as many runs as possible against the opposing team.

• The bowler is for when the team is on the field and they are the ones trying to hit the wicket.
• The fielders are 10 players on the field trying to catch the ball of the batsman of the other team.
• The wicket keeper catches the ball of the bowler in case they miss.
• The batsman is trying to hit the ball before the bowler hits the wicket.

• Since the cricket ball is made out of solid wood players wear an arm guard, chest guard, cricket helmet, elbow guard, gloves, jockstrap, leg pads, thigh guard,  and wicket keeper gloves to protect themselves.

Sachin is considered one of the greatest batsmen in cricket. He is a former international cricketer. He has captained the Indian national team. Sachin started playing cricket at 11 years old and made his debut at 15 years old for the Test Match. Halfway throughout his career he was ranked the second-greatest Test batsman. In 2011, he was part of the Indian team that won the Cricket world Cup. In 1994 he received the Arjuna Award and the Khel Ratna Award in 1997, India’s highest sporting honor. In 1999 and 2008 he won the Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan awards, respectively. After his last match in 2013 he was awarded the Bharat Ratna the highest civilian award.
