Archery requires the skill of using a bow to shoot arrows at a target with as much accuracy as possible. Historically, it was also used for hunting.
Archery is performed by loading an arrow into the bow and releasing it at a target, earning a better score for being closer to the center of the target. Unlike other target sports, archers use the tension of the bowstrings to force the arrow into the target.
The archer is the only role to partake in this activity.
